Tailored Styles & Finishes

  • Flooring tools, including a trowel, are used to apply gray cement or mortar to a surface, with fresh cement in the process of setting.

    Classic

For floors, walls and furniture Classic features a smooth, subtly variegated aesthetic. Tough enough for floors it offers, therefore, high resistance for staircase walls and reception desks, for instance, where scuffs can be easily wiped away.

  • A wooden dining table set for four with white placemats and colorful shot glasses, surrounded by four dark blue chairs, on a dark gray floor.

    Urban Industrial

With the aesthetic of power floated concrete our Urban Industrial Style is created in just 3mm. Our manufacturing partners have been able to create a material and system of primers and aggregates whereby a power float can be used on a thin laid material.

  • Five textured tiles in various shades of beige, white, and tan, laid out on a flat surface.

    Texture

We have a selection of standard textured styles which can be applied to walls, ceilings, furniture and floors too. All of our materials are cement based therefore strong enough for all these applications, hard wearing and highly resistant to knocks, wear and tear.

  • Interior of a modern showroom or store with a glossy polished concrete floor, display samples of paint colors on the wall, a bench, potted plant, and a person browsing.

    Acid Stain

Acid stain is a colouring technique made from a mild acid containing metallic salts which acts chemically on the cement content of concrete and micro cement. Due to it being a chemical process, there are only 7 colours available.

At The Decorative Surface Co, we offer a wide range of microcement styles to suit every taste—from minimalist and industrial to natural and textured finishes. Whether you're designing a modern home, luxury bathroom, or commercial interior, our bespoke microcement surfaces deliver a timeless, high-end aesthetic across walls, floors, wet rooms, stairs, and worktops.

Our hand-applied finishes allow for complete design flexibility. Choose from smooth, polished surfaces for a clean contemporary feel, or opt for more textured, rustic effects to add warmth and depth. Available in a broad palette of natural tones—such as stone grey, warm beige, and charcoal—we tailor each microcement application to reflect your personal style or brand identity.

We work closely with clients across Leeds, Harrogate, and throughout Yorkshire to create cohesive interiors that reflect quality and craftsmanship. Our process ensures a durable, waterproof finish that’s as practical as it is beautiful—perfect for modern living.
